It says a lot that we went to a Mexican restaurant at a Korean mall Apparently, they celebrate your birthday by giving you a big ahh sombrero hat and a cheesecake slice... and the best part is that they'll sing you a song What makes this restaurant so special is that none of the Korean restaurants I have been at the source would go out their way to celebrate your birthday. What was so surprising was that they overheard it was one of our birthdays and we didn't even have to take that awkward moment to ask if they do any birthday specials! This was a one in a lifetime experience

First time here and I have to say, it was a vibe. Great margaritas! I would recommend the Jamaica Margarita. Diego was our server and was also making the margaritas; he did not disappoint. I had the Tampiqueña plate that came with two cheese enchilada, and the food was amazing! I'd come again, but on a weekend. Looks like it's a vibe for the weekend!

La Huasteca sits in an oddly placed, yet needed, location at The Source surrounded by multitudes of Korean restaurants where many, are overpriced. While not as cheap as your average taco truck, you're well to remember that the service and ambiance is part of what you're paying in your experience here. The Al Pastor tacos were a surprise because: pineapples! The Al Pastor, while tender, eats a little dry but has a nice caramelized pineapple subtle front followed by your traditional roasted chili and porky combo that has been slow cooked. The overall bite, with salsa eats in a sweet then savory note, with the corn tortilla, salsa, al pastor, pineapple bringing a surprisingly balanced bite between textures and flavors. Service here is nice; they're patient and they check up on you and will ask if you need more water if they see your cup a little empty. They also checked the kitchen when one of our last dishes didn't come out. Ambiance-wise, it can get a little loud in here, as it's a slightly echo-y place. Chairs, tables, and bathroom are pretty clean too. Overall, I definitely recommend La Huasteca, and it's one of those places that doesn't break the bank either.

This is our favorite place to go for Taco Tuesday. All day Tuesday, house margaritas are $8 and select tacos are $2.50. Good quality food and drinks. We ordered the asada, pollo, al pastor, and birria tacos. Any drink or meal comes with free chips and 2 salsas - mild and hot. We've tried their chicken and salmon entrees and those are good too. The only feedback for area of improvement is the service, which can be very slow.

IT IS THE AMBIANCE FOR ME!! We walked in right before opening at 11am and the place was spotless and smelled sooooooo good! They had us sit anywhere and we totally enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the tacos, the molcahete (sorry I dont know how to spell it), and the shrimp plate. EVERYTHING CAME OUT PIPPING HOT, READY TO EAT AND SO TASTY!! The service was quick and they did not wait to refill any waters, the waiter and waitress were extremely friendly. I cannot wait to try more of their food as we went for lunch and we kinda rushed it! thanks for being open at 11 guys!
